 Instructional video tools:

In short:

Basically, you create the video with Jing and then upload it to your (free) account you create with Screencast.  Videos can be found via a particular URL to the Screencast video.  Just copy that and paste it into the comments area of your assignment.  If you have problems with the audio, try the Jing help/knowledgebase, check settings in Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices applet  or contact Dr. Colucci.

Notes on study strategies:

Multi-tasking and studying:  Two articles showing how the human mind is oriented towards one task at a time - multitasking does not allow you to do more in the same time, just to do more poorly!  A PBS documentary Digital Nation includes interviews with researchers that ran experiments on students at MIT.  The students thought they were good at multitasking, and performed better overall when multi-tasking.  The researchers found the opposite.  Basic psychology and neuroscience both hold that the human brain is designed to attend to one thing at a time - focus and avoiding distraction are the most efficient way to get work done, and done well.
